Time Off Reasons is where you can create and manage the different types of time off your agents can take. By default, you will see three of them already created for you: vacation day, sick day, and personal day.

Take a look at the video below where our product manager MJ walks through the Time Off Reasons feature.

Access Time Off Reasons

This feature, along with Teams, Workstreams, and Locations, is part of Organization Structure, and here's how to access it:

  1. Hover over the Admin section.
  2. Go to Organization Structure.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and click Time Off Reasons.

In the following sections, you will learn how to create additional Time Off Reasons, and how to edit or delete the ones already available.

Create Time Off Reasons

To add any additional Time Off Reasons for your organization:

  1. Select the plus button on the top right corner of the screen.
  2. A modal will pop up where you will be asked to specify:
    • Name of the Time Off Reason
    • Type - Planned or Unplanned
  3. Click Add Reason to finish the creation process or Cancel if you want to cancel this action.

Edit Time Off Reasons

To edit an already created Time Off Reason  (for example, if you made a mistake while creating a Time Off Reason or the Type has changed), here are the steps to follow:

  1. Hover over the selected Time Off Reason and you'll see an Edit option under the Action column.
  2. Click Edit and the modal will show up where you can perform your changes:
    • Name of the Time Off Reason
    • Type (Planned or Unplanned)
  3. Click Add Reason to finish the editing process or Cancel if you want to cancel this action.

Delete Time Off Reasons

To delete any of the Time off Reasons takes just a few clicks:

  1. Hover over the selected Time Off Reason.
  2. Click on the bin icon.
  3. Confirm your action by clicking on Delete reason to delete it or Cancel to cancel this action.
